Have you ever wanted to buy your own home, but didn't know what the process would entail or how to get started?
It's not always easy to buy a house. Real Estate Agents and Brokers will make the process seem easy to you when they are first talking to you, but there is a LOT of paper work and a LOT of time involved. You have to be patient in order to fulfill your dream of home ownership.
Here's my list of things to do before you buy:
1. Credit Check-- Make sure your credit is in good shape. This will get you the best possible rates and easier financing.
2. Real Estate Agent-- I believe finding a good agent is crucial in the home buying process. There is so much paper work I just can't imagine doing it without an agent.
3. Check Finances-- Have all of your bank/tax records easily locatable and ready to go. You'll be forced to pull them out frequently.
4. Job-- Your job should be secure enough to make owning a home over the next 5 years plausible. I fully believe putting 5 years into a home is important to make your investment pan out. |
